Where’s the justice for Betty Willis? The 76-year-old ex-soul singer was murdered in 2018. In late 2023, Betty’s killer was sentenced to life.

A 22-year-old Guatemalan man was charged in 2018 with the rape and murder of 76-year-old former 60s soul singer Betty Jane Willis. The suspect, Rosendo Xo Pec, has pled not guilty. As of 2023, Pec remains charged. Pec has been held in a California county jail for more than 5 ½ years without a trial.
